Rukcus&s;s Wireless System Performance team is hiring Wireless Architect to work with our innovative team.



How You&s;ll help us to connect the world:



This is a boutique team that spearheads RF and baseband innovations across our Wi-Fi access point product line, and is also involved in the benchmarking and certification of our access points. We are searching for a senior-level architect with solid fundamentals in wireless communication theory, extensive experience and familiarity with the family of Wi-Fi 802.11 standards and protocol stack, and of course, a knack for innovation!


Key Responsibilities



  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and lead RF/baseband innovations across the wider team in RUCKUS.

  • Participate in Wi-Fi systems performance tests for benchmarking and certification purposes.

  • Ensure a high-level of performance and robustness for new AP models.

  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex networking and deployment issues.

  • Be part of the customer-facing engineering team to support the sales efforts in public seminars and events, customer engagements, and escalations.


Required Skills




  • Extensive experience and excellent working knowledge of the IEEE 802.11 standards and protocol stack, especially in 802.11ac and 802.11ax.

  • Strong theoretical background in wireless networks and protocols, communication theory and RF propagation.

  • Prior experience in the 802.11 standards body or wireless chipset vendor will be a plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and AI/ML techniques will be a plus.

  • PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related work experience.
